The Staff Selection Process is one of this department's main functions and is aimed at choosing the right candidate as based on the characteristics of the job, the requirements and objectives expressed by the customer for the post in question.

When studying the individual proposed to cover a post, conditions such as talent, motivation, skills, knowledge, training and specific job environment aspects are analysed.

The lifelong training of its workers is one of ISN's most important tools for improvement.

. This training focuses on achieving three objectives:
. The reduction of accidents and absenteeism.
. Increased staff motivation and involvement.
. Enhanced work efficiency.

In general, training centres on perfecting and qualifying the company's staff in the areas of Quality, Health and Safety in the Workplace, Administration, Organisation and Management.

The basic points of training are:

. Knowledge of our Management and Environmental System, Management standards such as ISO 9000 and ISO 14000.
. Prevention and safety in the workplace, highlighting aspects such as ergonomics to prevent occupational injuries and diseases.
. The used of chemicals, identification and measures to adopt in each case.
. The handling of fork-lift trucks, platforms, etc. in order to ensure safe, skilful operation of machinery.
. Retraining as a tool for improvement as it allows operators to increase their skills and allows us to receive information from the operator concerning problems and improvement opportunities.
. First aid in order to have basic knowledge and react properly when faced with incidents or work accidents.
. New specific courses detected from staff requirements as part of our training plans.
